Facility
Portsmouth Beauty School has been located in historic downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire since 1961.
In the spring of 2003 a construction and complete renovation project was started on in preparation for the move to our all new facilities on December 16, 2003.
The school has an expansive 5,600 square feet of space with elevator access to accommodate all of our present and future space requirements.
The facility is compliant with all fire and safety code requirements and is handicap accessible.
There are two administrative offices, reception area, classroom area to accommodate as many as 40 students, a student lounge area with lockers to secure personal items, and a 25 station student clinic area that also has a facial station, pedicure stations, and manicure stations, and a full dispensary service area.
Portsmouth Beauty School is a non-smoking facility.
School Business and Class Hours
Official business hours are Monday through Saturday.
At other times, including holidays, the administrator and staff may be available by appointment only.
Classes are scheduled during the day, Monday through Saturday.
Parking
There are three municipal parking lots maintained by the City of Portsmouth located approximately five minutes walking distance from the school’s main entrance. There is no charge for parking in these lots. There is also a municipal parking garage with inside parking for 75 cents per hour.
Client Parking Validation
Please use the public parking garage on Hanover St.
PBS will validate the parking of clinic customers. You must present your parking garage ticket at the time of payment for services. PBS will validate up to two (2) hours, ($1.50)
Disabilities
There is an elevator for access to the second floor from the Congress St. entrance.
